Project Description
The Diesel Emission Control Scheme is an interdisciplinary Senior Design project with components of Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The team consists of ECE Group 6 and ME Group 14. The ECE faculty advisor is Hong Man, and the ME faculty advisors are David Dietz and Richard Cole.
Abstract
The objective of this project is to develop concepts for an active filtration system of a stationary diesel engine. The purpose stems from impending regulations set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Additionally, the system development challenges associated with the filtration system will also be addressed. The various concepts developed will be integrated into one unique system with the objective of lowering exhaust emissions and diesel particulate matter.
