PROJECT BACKGROUND

The objective of the project is to design something that would be of use in medical centers. The idea is to come up with a device that would contain information about patients at hospitals or clinics. Some of this information would include their personal information such as name, date of birth, sex, and so on. In addition to storing personal information, the device would also contain medical information such as medicine prescriptions, dosage, history of the patient, and blood types. Customers would keep these devices with themselves and would bring them every time they went to the hospital or pharmacy. The device would be useful, for example, if the patient forgot what was prescribed by the doctor. Some things that will have to be considered when finding a solution to this problem would be: how should the device be designed so that the customer can carry it around easily? What technology would be used to store the data on the device? Would the device be easily breakable? These are some of the aspects that the problem for the project addresses.
